On Sunday, over 50 of the mid-south’s top quarterback prospects gathered in Austin, Texas, to compete in an Elite 11 regional camp with the goal of being invited to Elite 11 Finals this summer.
Rivals was on hand to get a live look at the participants. Here are the top 10 performers:
1. Ty Hawkins
Ty Hawkins had the cleanest day from start to finish. Even through some strong winds, he was accurate, threw a tight spiral and go could locate the ball on the move. The TCU commit is currently the top ranked quarterback in Texas in the 2025 class and he backed it up today.
2. Keelon Russell
Keelon Russell may have done the most for his stock out of anyone in attendance. He looks the part in terms of his physical build and he ripped it from start to finish today. Russell is committed to SMU, but there will be bigger programs that come calling soon. He proved today he has the ability to be one of the premier talents in this class. Russell’s day earned him an invite to the Elite 11 Finals this summer.
3. KJ Lacey
Lacey, who hails from Saraland, Alabama, is in Austin this weekend for an unofficial visit to the University of Texas, where he is committed. Lacey started the day shaky but found his groove and made some exceptional throws, especially when on the move. The borderline five-star prospect was one of three invitees to the Elite 11 Finals.
4. Peyton Houston
The youngest quarterback in attendance, Peyton Houston, absolutely shined. He had some of the strongest throws of the day and was consistently one of the most accurate in drills. In fact, Houston was an award winner in the accuracy challenge portion of the day. It is clear the Shreveport, Louisiana, prospect will be one of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 class.
5. Kevin Sperry
Just one day after transferring to Denton (Texas) Guyer out of Oklahoma, the Sooners commit put on a display that earned him an Elite 11 Finals invite. Sperry flashed at times with strong throws and a clean run through the accuracy challenge.
6. Romin Seymour
Romin Seymour has really impressed in recent weeks and today was no different. He is massive presence in the pocket at 6-foot-5 and closing in on 200 pounds and he can put his size behind his throws. He was accurate and he showed off some impressive mobile ability for his size. The 2026 prospect is one of the best in Texas.
7. Jake Fette
Jake Fette may very well have had the best arm strength of any of the 2026 prospects in the camp. His velocity and ball placement were consistent. He was mobile and hit receivers in stride when on the move. There were some strong winds on Sunday and he was able to deliver good balls all day long.
8. Adam Schobel
Schobel did exactly what I hoped he would on Sunday. He looked the part and was consistently on target. He has a big frame that will allow to sit in the pocket and deliver strikes. He has good feet and a smooth stroke. He is a good fit for what Baylor has done at the quarterback position in recent years.
9. Grant Smith
Grant Smith has a big arm and he let it rip. He had some of the tightest spirals of the day and his ball carries some zip into the hands of receivers. He holds a perfect frame for a pocket quarterback at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, and he has the ability to push the ball down the field. I have high hopes for Smith’s junior season. I think he can be one of the top players in the state.
10. David McComb
This was the first time I’ve seen David McComb in person and I absolutely loved what I saw out of him. Another strong frame at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds and he was on target all day. The Jayhawks have another quality arm entering the fold in Lawrence.
