Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Brandon Howard checks in with several key recruiting storylines to follow out of Alabama and Mississippi.

CALEB CUNNINGHAM DOWN TO 12

Cunningham is visiting Florida this weekend, which is good news for the Gators since the four-star receiver continues to be recruited by programs across the country.

Ranked No. 1 in the state of Florida, Cunningham is down to Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

“I got down to my final group and just wanted to be more intentional about how I’m approaching the process. I hear from so many schools that sometimes you just have to slow down and take it all in.”

“Right now, I’m taking things one day at a time. I do hear from each school quite often. They make sure I feel like a priority, which is something I take notice of. Overall, I still have a lot more to see.”

Cunningham has things wide open in his top group, with more visits set to take place following this weekend in Gainesville.

FOUR-STAR FEGANS CHECKS IN

Fegans, ranked No. 50 in the 2025 Rivals250, is beginning to narrow down the focus of his recruitment. The four-star safety was briefly committed to USC last year but is currently considering a group of programs that includes Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi State, Auburn and Tennessee.

Expect Fegans to take some visits once the contact period opens back up.

GRIFFIN LOOKING AHEAD AFTER PARTING WAYS WITH GEORGIA TECH

Griffin backed off his commitment to Georgia Tech last week and is now turning his attention to a few programs in advance of signing day.

“One of the schools I’ve been in contact with consistently is Troy,” Griffin said. “After my visit this weekend, it will give me a clear idea of how they fit. East Carolina is another school I’m considering.

“At this point, I just want to find a home. This process has been good, but I want to lock in with a program. I plan to sign next week.”

The three-star talent looks to sign next week with the in-state Trojans leading the way.

REESE VISITING ALABAMA

Reese is visiting Alabama this weekend for an official visit. The three-star linebacker committed to the Crimson Tide in September and has never looked back, but that hasn’t stopped programs like UAB, South Alabama and Troy from reaching out.

From speaking with Reese, it doesn’t sound like Alabama is at risk of losing his pledge. It seems like it all will come down to a good visit this weekend.

PROSPECTS TO WATCH IN THE SOUTHEAST

Mims is an impressive receiver who recently earned offers from Tennessee and Florida within the last week.

Expect numerous other SEC programs to enter the equation for the fast-rising 2025 standout.

Garror is a long way from signing a letter of intent but he’s still earning offers in chunks. The talented defensive end plays with Micah DeBose, so he has had an early opportunity to get familiar with the limelight.

Garror is a big-time prospect in the making.

Womack recently picked up offers from Louisville, Arkansas, UCF and Florida. The four-star cornerback will be in the mix to be the top-ranked prospect in Mississippi when the 2026 state rankings are eventually released.

Keep an eye on Womack as he fights for national status.

Cluff just earned an offer from Purdue to go along with Arkansas, Baylor and Southern Miss. Neither of the major in-state programs have offered Cluff yet but it could just be a matter of time.
