USAA faucets new technique chief


USAA announced the appointment of Ameesh Vakharia as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. Vakharia reports to Wayne Peacock, USAA CEO.

Vakharia (picture above) comes to USAA after 10 years at Truist Bank, where he held management positions in the areas of strategy, product management and omnichannel and was a member of the bank’s works council. Most recently, he was executive vice president of retail strategy, products and omnichannel experiences for the bank.

Before joining Truist, Vakharia was an Associate Principal at the management consultancy McKinsey & Company. He has been a board member of the Institute for Bank Administration since 2017.
