Arkansas lands three-star DL Dion Stutts

Arkansas has been in the mix for Memphis (Tenn.) University School defensive lineman Dion Stutts for nearly a year now and after two recent visits to Fayetteville, the Razorbacks landed their guy on Saturday as Stutts announced his decision on Twitter.

“The community, it’s just amazing there. The college atmosphere fits me so well. Then the coaches are just outstanding. Everyone there was just so kind and made it feel like home, so I committed.”

The Razorbacks gained solid ground in Stutts’ recruiting process after the three-star prospect visited Fayetteville in January and made a return trip to campus this weekend. He originally picked up an offer from Arkansas back in May of last year and has developed a strong relationship with Razorbacks’ defensive line coach Deke Adams.

At 6-foot-3, 250-pounds, Stutts brings athleticism, energy, and explosiveness to the defensive line. He is usually lined up as an edge disruptor in his team’s 3-4 scheme and could easily make the transition into an interior defender at the college level. He’s also a multi-sport athlete, who is a heavyweight wrestler for his high school as well.

For Arkansas, Stutts becomes their second commitment in the 2024 class, joining Rivals250 defensive end Kevion Henderson. The Razorbacks also beat out the likes of Ole Miss, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Texas A&M for Stutts.

It’s clear that Arkansas is focused on loading up with solid defensive line talent in this year’s class and they are off to a good start with the combination of Henderson and now, Stutts.
