Medigo snaps up $2M in Series A funding
Vietnamese online pharmacy Medigo has scored $2 million in a Series A funding round led by East Ventures, with the participation from Pavilion Capital and Touchstone Partners.
According to a press release, the startup plans to use its fresh funds to strengthen its services, including remote doctor consultation, 24/7 quick medicine delivery, and home testing services, which all form its ideal healthcare ecosystem.
Mental health startup Intellect gets IHH Healthcare’s backing
Singapore-based mental health startup Intellect has received undisclosed funding from global healthcare provider IHH Healthcare for its regional expansion.
Based on a press statement, the investment will accelerate the startup’s growth across Asia. Since launching in 2019, Intellect now serves more than three million users in over 20 Asian countries.
As part of its investment pledge, IHH Healthcare will also co-develop and customise digital mental health programmes with Intellect for its patients, corporate clients, and staff. It will be offering Intellect’s mobile mental health solution across its network, starting with maternity patients at Gleneagles Hospital Singapore. Access to the Intellect app will also be made available to corporate clients of IHH Singapore’s iXchange and to IHH employees later.
EMR platform DocPlix gets $600,000 in pre-Series A funding
Indian health technology startup DocPlix has raised Rs 5 crore ($600,000) in a pre-series A funding round led by Eris Lifesciences.
The startup, which offers an EMR system for clinics and hospitals, will use its latest funds to scale up R&D and reach more adopters in western, southern, and central India. It targets to have around 5,000 doctors using its EMR solution over the next 10 months; at present, over 2,000 doctors are using DocPlix around the country.
