Todd and Julie Chrisley aren’t the only family members facing legal problems…
According to a shocking new report, Todd’s son Kyle Chrisley, whom he shares with ex-wife Theresa Terry, was arrested in Tennessee on Tuesday! The arrest comes just months after his parents were booked into prison themselves to serve a combined 19 years for bank fraud and tax evasion. Far from the financial crimes of his parents, however, Kyle was booked on charges of aggravated assault and promptly booked into Rutherford County Jail by the Smyrna Police Department. As of right now, details about the 31-year-old’s arrest are unclear, but he was bailed out of jail on a $3,000 bond.

This isn’t the first time Kyle has faced trouble with the law. Back in 2016 when he was battling bipolar disorder and addiction, Todd and Julie were awarded custody of his daughter Chloe, whom he shares with Angela Johnson. Ever since the Chrisley parents reported to prison, though, their daughter Savannah Chrisley now has custody of Chloe as well as her little brother Grayson. Such a messy situation…
Todd and his eldest son have had quite the rocky relationship in the past, especially while dealing with custody arrangements surrounding Chloe. It seems like ahead of the 53-year-old’s sentencing, though, things were looking better. If you’ll recall, there was a lot of tension with Kyle accusing his father of using the family for TV ratings — and it played out directly on Chrisley Knows Best, which definitely didn’t help the situation.
But in November of last year, things made a big turnaround when Kyle spoke out in defense of his dad, posting a Bible verse to his Instagram Stories:
“Matthew 7: 1-3. ‘Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?’”
That post has since been deleted…
Several outlets have reached out, but more deets on Kyle’s arrest just aren’t available yet. He is due back in court on March 20, so maybe we’ll learn more then? We’ll be sure to keep you updated as this story unfolds. Until then, sound OFF with your thoughts in the comments (below).
